During a real estate conference some years ago I heard a simple philosophy that I have carried with me throughout my real estate career...
“People don’t buy houses they buy neighbourhoods”
The house is great, it has all the bells and whistles you have been looking for but yet in the back of your mind there is something telling you this may not the house for you but you can’t put your finger on why?
One answer may be that the neighbourhood does not have the amenities you and your family need. Some of the things that make a neighbourhood are proximity to schools (both English and French), recreational facilities, grocery stores, public transportation, parks and green spaces, daycare, family restaurants, your proximity to your workplace and many other aspects that are particular to your wants and needs. So when you are going to purchase your next home make sure the home is a fit for you but also take the time to make sure the neighbourhood is a good fit as well.As a long time resident I am familiar with many of HRM’s neighbourhoods and the amenities these neighbourhoods have to offer. Let my experience and expertise help you find the home and the neighbourhood that is the perfect fit for you and your family.
