Meet Joe!
I was raised in a military family that settled in Dartmouth in the early 70’s. After graduating from Prince Andrew High School I attended Dalhousie University, earning a degree in Physical Education. It was during my time at Dal that I was picked to represent Nova Scotia at the 1985 Canada Games to captain the soccer team. A great honour that embraced my love for sport!
After graduating from Dalhousie in 1988 I began my teaching career with the Halifax Regional School Board, later moving to Ontario to teach with the Toronto School Board. I really enjoyed teaching but wanted to return to home, knowing there were limited teaching positions available in Nova Scotia I moved into the insurance business where I worked for a car appraisal company as a marketing and sales manager. I was fortunate to combine my sales skills with my love for travel and became business development and sales manager for a company exporting vehicles to the US and Europe.

Although I really enjoyed international sales, I realized it was fueling another serious interest of mine, Real Estate. During my various other careers I had owned, managed and sold real estate as a secondary business but felt I was ready to make real estate my career.
It was a welcomed transition and I have been working in the real estate industry since 2006. Over ten years later and I still feel as passionate about what I do as when I started. It’s very rewarding to help clients find the home that’s perfect for them! Whether they’re first time buyers, looking for something in a new neighbourhood for their larger family or looking to downsize I am happy to help my clients find a property to call home.
I have also been able to start my own portfolio of real estate holdings which is made up of multi-unit buildings. With my own experience in buying and managing these buildings I have been helping clients with sales and purchases of multi-unit and commercial real estate.

“When you reach out to Joe, you get Joe. I am always available to help, answer questions and get the information you need to make an informed decision. You can expect from me a real estate agent who will listen, communicate and develop a strategy to buy or sell your property that exceeds your expectations.”
I continue to enjoy an active lifestyle, still playing organized hockey and soccer. Family is also very important to me and I enjoy spending time with my 3 nephews and attending their many activities. I feel it is important to give back to the community and as a past member of the Halifax Progress Club have helped raised funds and run events for several local charities and organizations. I continue to sponsor local sports clubs and teams and enjoy participating in what our community has to offer.
